Annalakshmi and the smelly pig

Yesterday was sooooo coool!! The four of us (Reky, Makcik So'od and Sasi, and yours truly) went to this restaurant in Excelsior Hotel which is in Peninsular Plaza. It's called Annalakshmi. It's this Indian Vegetarian restaurant which has this special ambience. They have paintings and statues and sculptures all over the place, and with the light music being played in the background..that really did it. Let's just call it All Things Indian, cept that the staff speak excellent English of course. One particular guy was soo nice to explain to us the dishes and stuff. But Lo and Behold for I have yet to mention the fact which pleasantly surprised me. I think the slogan of the restaurant says it all: Eat as you please, pay as you wish. How coool right....I LOVE this concept. One thing we observed was that most of the customers were non-indians. I wonder how they had discovered this haven. It's like a refuge for cash-starved students like us. Heh...Anyways, we had lots of items..Two different types of Vadai, Garlic Naan, Cheese Naan, Poori, Paneer,Yoghurt rice, Gobi Manchurian (which tasted alot like chicken!) and milkshakes. Oh, Reky and I had Gulab Jamun..it's this sweetish ball thing which is soaked in sweeeeet syrup. I tell you, that place is like MMmmmmmm...We only paid 22 dollars..Shhh....We are soo going back there.

However, the nice evening was very quickly spoiled by this guy who smelled reallly bad. Makcik so'od and I were seated at the rear seats of the bus. After like three stops, this bad-smelling guy came and sat beside me. Really terok I tell you..It's as if he hadn't taken a bath for several days, or maybe it's just BO. Either ways, he still stunk. How can people not bath before they go out? Personally, I don't think I would feel comfortable going out without bathing first. It's such a simple, most basic step of personal hygiene. Not only that. It can actually be a social problem. heh..you would be affecting those people who actually have the mind to take time to bath and smell nice before leaving.

"The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain."-Dolly Parton. Yah, at least you could use a bath with the rain.
